I chose the name Stream Therapies because I see life as a stream ~ constantly moving, constantly changing, and always capable of finding a new path. Each person’s stream is unique, shaped by their experiences, relationships, environment, and history. Therapy is a space to slow down and gently notice how your stream is flowing, without judgment or pressure to “fix” anything.
Some days life flows smoothly and quietly, and we move through it with ease. Other days the current feels fast, turbulent, or overwhelming, leaving us struggling to stay afloat. At times the water slows to an almost complete stillness, and we may feel stuck, disconnected, numb, or uncertain about how to move forward. All of these experiences are natural responses to what life brings.
Along the way, we may encounter large rocks this might be significant life events such as trauma, grief, illness, relationship changes, or major transitions. We may also find that many small pebbles have gathered over time: ongoing stress, unmet needs, patterns learned for survival, or experiences that were never fully seen or supported. These accumulations can subtly alter the flow of our lives, weighing us down or narrowing the paths available to us.

Our therapy is a collaborative and relational process. Together, we create a calm, respectful, and emotionally safe space where you can pause and listen to what your stream is telling you. With care and curiosity, we explore what feels blocked, what feels overwhelming, and what feels ready for change and always at a pace that honours your nervous system and sense of safety.
My work is trauma-informed, recognising that our responses make sense in the context of what we have lived through. Rather than forcing movement, therapy supports gentle shifts ~ removing obstacles where possible, strengthening your capacity to navigate difficult currents, and helping you reconnect with your own inner wisdom and resilience.
There are also moments of stillness within the stream. These pauses are not failures or absences of progress, but meaningful spaces for rest, reflection, and integration. In therapy, stillness can become a place of grounding, clarity, and potential thus allowing new directions to emerge when the time feels right.
Stream Therapies is not about controlling the water or rushing the journey. It is about walking alongside you as you come to understand your stream more deeply, supporting movement that feels safer, more authentic, and more aligned with who you are.
Addiction can affect life in ways that feel confusing, exhausting, or out of control, whether you are struggling with addiction yourself or supporting a family member who is. You may be living with shame, guilt, fear, anger, grief, or a constant sense of worry, often alongside feeling powerless or unsure how to help. Addiction counselling offers a non-judgemental and supportive space to explore how addiction is impacting you, your relationships, and your wellbeing. Together, we work at a pace that respects your experience and readiness, focusing on understanding, boundaries, and care rather than blame or pressure. Therapy supports you to build clarity, strengthen coping strategies, and move toward changes that feel healthier and more sustainable for you and your family.
Anxiety can feel overwhelming, exhausting, or constant, affecting thoughts, emotions, and daily life. Counselling offers a safe, supportive, non-judgemental, and confidential space to explore these experiences and understand what triggers and maintains your anxiety. Through talking therapy, including the integration of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) techniques, you can gently explore patterns of thought and behaviour and learn practical strategies to manage anxiety. Therapy helps you build confidence, develop coping skills, and gradually feel more in control, all at a pace that respects your individual needs.
Bereavement and loss can alter the flow of life in profound and unexpected ways, often leaving people feeling overwhelmed, numb, disoriented, or deeply sad. Grief may show up as intense emotion, exhaustion, guilt, anger, anxiety, or a quiet sense of emptiness, and these responses can shift from day to day. Bereavement and loss counselling offers a safe and compassionate space to speak openly about what has been lost and how it is being carried. Together, we move at a pace that respects your experience, making room for pain, uncertainty, and the complexity of grief without pressure to “move on.” Therapy supports you to gently integrate loss into your life in a way that feels authentic, supportive, and sustainable over time.
Children may face challenges with emotions, behaviour, or social situations, and these can feel even more complex for children with a diagnosis or who are neurodivergent. I provide a safe, supportive space where feelings can be explored through creative activities like play, art, and stories. Therapy helps children express themselves, build coping skills, and grow confidence, while also supporting caregivers to understand and nurture their child’s unique needs.
Difficulties at work can affect many areas of life, often leaving you feeling stressed, overwhelmed, undervalued, anxious, or emotionally exhausted. You may be navigating conflict, burnout, high expectations, job insecurity, or a loss of confidence that makes each day feel heavier. Counselling offers a compassionate and confidential space to explore what is happening at work and how it is impacting your wellbeing. Together, we gently make sense of your experiences, strengthen coping strategies, and clarify boundaries, values, and options. Therapy supports you to feel more resourced, grounded, and able to move forward with greater clarity and self-compassion.
Relationships are an important part of our lives, but they can also be challenging. I can help you and your partner improve communication, build intimacy, and strengthen your relationship.
Young people may face challenges with stress, relationships, emotions, or navigating school and life transitions. I can offer a safe, supportive, non-judgemental, and confidential space to explore these experiences, using conversation and creative approaches where helpful. Therapy helps you build coping skills, understand your feelings, and make choices that support your wellbeing, while also offering guidance for those who care about you.
I offer a place to rest beside your stream ~ to observe and discover. Together, we can explore whatever you are experiencing: the obstacles, the clutter, the turbulence, or the calm, you can learn to navigate around the rocks, clear the pebbles, and rediscover a steady, natural flow. Wherever you are in your journey, there is always a way to navigate your flow ~ and you don’t have to find it alone.

Rather than focusing on “fixing” problems, humanistic counselling encourages reflection, self-discovery, and personal growth in ways that feel meaningful and authentic to you.
